If your wondering about the SOHC-VTEC install with a D16Z6 or D16Y8, those links are very infantile....like just don;t mention about 1/3rd of the stuff you need to do. The rest is simple, but will help you immensely.
I have about $300 dolalrs of stuff left to purchase, but my D16Z6 swap is almost done on my CRX.
I started a post on CRX Resource about it...I don't post on CRX Resource anymore though - so...actually - I am going to transcribe my work over here. Yep read the D16Z6 Upgrade Post here.

Wow Ami, that must have been updates since Mechanic B's D16Z6 Swap...of course it looks like a headswap article? I hadn't even noticed this one.
Pretty cool tech stuff in there.
His page shops pictures on the distributor modifications - Si distributor on the Z6 Head.
One thing I should note, if your going to jsut buy a VTEC head and use a D16A6 manifold anyways....save yourself the hassle and buy the D16Y8 head. I have this head and the D16A6 Si Distributor fits right onto it like it was it's own! It doesn't make sense to use the Z6 especially since your gonna pay about the same price...and the valve seals in the newer engine's head are going to be a lot better!
Also note - this is important too. Every tech that I've ever talked to has said the following:
"If you repalce the valve seals, then your going to wear out your psiton rings and should replace those too"
Reason - your compression wears about the same rate for seals as rings. Rings without seals isn;t good, but teh seals won;t feel it as much, but the seals without rings, makes the compession even moreso on the bottom end, and the rings accelerate in wear. Ask any technician they will say the same thing.
If your engine has 180,000 or more I would have the rings replaced! These are my findings. I haven't had an engine go past 220,000 or any friends that haven't needed this on a CRX or Civic - D15B2 or D16A6.
I'll post some pics of the D16Y8 and D16Z6 engines later on this month. I have a complete D16Y8 and a complete D16Y8 Head for parts. Also have an installed D16Z6, and am getting a complete D16Z6 ready for install into a Civic with tranny and ECU and wiring later this month. I also have a D16A6 Si block and head for reference. And all their manifolds - DX and Si and D16Z6. So taking pictures to show you guys the upgrades won;t be too hard.
